Apple has announced the release candidate version of the upcoming macOS Sequoia 15.1 update for developers and public beta testers, following the launch of the seventh beta just a week ago.
Registered developers can access the macOS Sequoia beta by navigating to the Software Update section within the System Settings app. To participate in the beta program, users must have an Apple ID linked to an Apple Developer account.
The macOS Sequoia 15.1 update marks the introduction of the first Apple Intelligence features. These include support for Writing Tools, enhanced Siri functionalities, Smart Replies in both Mail and Messages, and the introduction of Priority messages within the Mail app. Additionally, users will benefit from new features in Photos, such as Memory Movie and Clean Up.
However, it’s important to note that this update does not include features like Image Playground, Genmoji, or more advanced Siri capabilities.
To utilize the Apple Intelligence features, users will need a Mac equipped with an Apple silicon chip.
